Sup guys,

I have a festival coming up this Sunday and I'm racking to keg tomorrow!

Please someone anyone who has any advice how to go about it.

I tried it when I first started kegging and drank foam!!!!

Thanks in advance.

Did you remember to release the pressure on the keg and lower the pressure to serving (6-8 psi) before tapping and pouring your first beer?

That I did not do.

In some way that makes so much sense now duh.

Ok, but how long should I shake the keg for?

It's in the refrigerator now getting cold.

Hey thanks for the quick response.

I do not do the "shake" method. I simply set my regulator to the desired psi for proper volumes of CO2 based on the style of beer I am carbonating. You can use a carbonating chart like the one in the back of Brewing classic Styles.
Then before you tap the keg, drop your psi to a proper serving pressure (6-8 psi), release the pressure valve on the keg, tap the keg, and pour your first pint!

Thanks a lot! Going to give it a try.

I'll let you know how it went.

And keep brewinhard!
