Brew Strong Nano Brewing Show - Bottling...

On the Brew Strong show Jamil mentioned that at Heretic they bottle some of their beers the following way:

Cap off the brite tanks and carbonate the beer to a certain CO2 volume
Prime the beer with a sugar syrup & bottle conditioning yeast
Bottle using their Blichmann Beer Guns on a frame

Now my questions are:
What is the CO2 target for the Brite tanks?
Any guidance on calculating the amount of sugar & yeast to add for the bottle conditioning step?

Some breweries use this to get a bottle conditioned beer without the extended wait. Everybody does it a little differently. You could carb to 1.5 volumes with the calculated pressure & do the math to get that last 1 volume from priming sugar. I believe you'll have to over calculate on the sugar slightly to make up for your yeast already under pressure, but not by much. You could adjust those volumes over a range to add up to your desired carb volumes.
