converting volumes of CO2 for bottling

Sun Jun 24, 2012 4:32 pm

Is there a way to convert from volumes of CO2 recommended to the number of grams of bottling sugar I should add?

I don't have space to keg in my apartment so I'm left with bottling and trying to find the right amount of sugar to fit the specific style of beer for carbonation.

can't wait for a bigger place...

A quick Google search found a bunch but here's one from BYO.

And of course ... show sponsor BeerSmith has a whole tool dedicated to calculating volumes of CO2.

And it comes with a free 21 day trial!

Thanks for the links. I guess I just haven't delved far enough into my own copy of Beersmith to come up with the conversions...
