I'm looking to build a keezer to hold 3-4 corny kegs and a 5lb bottle. What size should I be looking for? I'm looking at 7cuft right now.

Due to differences in how those freezers are designed, the inside dimensions differ even if they are the same cu. ft. The best thing to do is to cut out 3 or 4 cardboard circles the same diameter as a keg. Take them with you when you go shopping and arrange them inside the freezer. I didn't do that for the first freezer I bought and ended up about 1/2" short of being able to add one more keg. I did do this when I got a bigger one later and now have plenty of room.

Made the mistake of not just going big in the beginning. Bought a 5.0 CUFT Oster that barely held two kegs and the gas bottle. Took the cardboard cutouts of a cornelius keg down to Lowes and Home Depot and other appliance stores with the goal of getting 6 kegs into an upright. For $450, I can now do 6 kegs without bottle or 5 with and have a freezer now (hops and pizzas) and bottle storage for up to 30+ beers.

One thing I have learned, the step process to getting equipment, ends up being way to costly. Set your goals, expect to pay to hit them, but save over the long run.

I just finished building mine from a current model Frigidare 7.2 cu' chest freezer. It fits 3 corny's in the bottom. I built a 7.25" high collar and that's enough height for a 4th keg on the comp. shelf with a 5lb co2 bottle. Above advice sounds prudent though. Good luck

My 7 cu ft can hold 4 on the floor and 2 more on the hump if I build a bigger collar and put the tank on the outside.

I agree. Cry once, buy what you want from the start. Only time leap frog works in purchasing is if you factor you will use the smaller one in the future for a lagering chamber or lager fermentor. Go big or go home.
