Bottling Belgians from th e keg.

I have a Belgian Golden Strong that I've carbonated a LOT. Jamil has been pretty emphatic that standard brown glass bottles aren't strong enough to safely hold highly pressurized Belgian beers. I usually re-use Lagunitas bottles, and I assume they aren't appropriate.

I have a couple of Russian River bottles that I'm going to cork and cage - I assume they'll be alright, because they're so thick.

I have a couple of the that ought to be safe, since they're designed for belgian beers.

But that's still not enough for what's in my keg, so here's my question: can I use 22oz bottles (like this: http://morebeer.com/view_product/15630/102304/Bottles_-_22_oz_12) to bottle beer that's at 4 volumes?

Couldn't reply about the 22 oz bottles but I have carbonated to 4 vol before in typical 12 oz LHBS bottles and even sent them across country for competitions (NHC) in hot weather with no breakage. Others will tell you otherwise I am sure. I am only speaking from my experience. YMMV.

I think you can get away with it if you store them cold. I would'nt keep them at room temp over 3 weeks. I have learned this the hard way. Belgian bombs!
