First time do a beer that isn't a kit from the local homebrew shop. I forgot to get corn sugar to prime, I went to the grocery and could only find corn syrup. Is this ok to use? how much should I use vs corn sugar?

Not OK!
Better to wait and go back to your LHBS for corn sugar or DME. Corn syrup from the grocery has much more than corn sugar, read the label.
Look up
www.howtobrew.com for the basics on bottling and amounts to use for bottle conditioning.

You can use regular table(white) sugar. Just make sure it is the same weight not volume.
Ive done it quite a few times and cant tell the difference between corn sugar and white table sugar.

I second the table sugar. I use it all the time as priming sugar and in the boil to raise the gravity without adding body.

I usually keg my beer, but when I do bottle I ALWAYS use table sugar and John Palmer's nomograph from How to Brew and never have any problems. I don't see the point in buying corn sugar when I already have table sugar and it work every bit as well. If you do use the corn syrup, I would guess that you would need less by weight as I believe it has a much higher concentration of sugar. Also, please don't believe the 3/4 cup corn sugar for every batch that I once did. It doesn't work well and I have had had bottles explode!!
Here's a link to John Palmer's nomograph, it's a little bit down the page. Very helpful!!

Definitely go with the table sugar. Corn syrup sold at the grocery store has a bunch of other junk besides sugar in there. Often has thickening agents and flavorings added (vanilla most common). Commercial suppliers to food processors and breweries do have pure corn syrup, but it is generally not available to the general public.
