does kegging help beer "finish" faster?

Listening to some old Can You Brew It podcasts lately. Just listened to the Green Flash West Coast IPA show, and Tasty made it sound like they were tasting their clone on the air 2 weeks after it was on the fire. How is that possible? That's a pretty potent beer (over 7%) with a hefty grain bill. Does kegging/force carbing help a beer condition faster? My bottle conditioning brews seem to all need a good 4 weeks (or longer) at least sitting at around 66° in the closet. Is it a combination of kegging and temp?

back in the day Tasty Filtered his beer, this will significantly decrease conditioning time....plus when you keg you can carbonate and condition at the same time...

I just poured my first pint from the Green Flash that was brewed just over 3 weeks ago. 2 weeks ferment, 7-10 days in keg with gelatin and it is perfect.
So I'd have to say yes. Maybe because it's carbing at a colder temp ( 40F ) rather than having to leave it at 65-70F to carbonate in the bottle. Please clearing with the gelatin probably helps too.
