first keg

This is my first kegging experience and the co2 seems to be leaking already... I filled my keg with beer and closed the lid. Now I hooked the co2 to the 'in' and turned on the co2 to get the air out of the keg. Sure enough, i have pressure. But the pressure going to the keg slowly creeps up. nothing I do stops it from creeping up (1 psi every 30 seconds-ish). I have tried turning the screw counter clockwise (until it fell out), and also turning off the valve going to the keg. I have a leak some where in the regulator... but where? I have tightned everything I see to tighten... ughhh...

I did not use teflon tape connecting the co2 tank to the regulator. I read somewhere that it wasn't necessary. I will give that a shot.

just reporting back: the leak resolved itself. The next time I open the c02 on the keg, it held pressure. Why? Beats me...
