Poppet replacement question

Tue Nov 30, 2010 11:59 am

I have a Firestone VI that I am trying to replace the poppets in and I can’t find the right one. The kegs have a blue or green rubber handle/top on them and they all have the plastic gas dip tubes. I have purchased some of these from More Beer:

They do not seal up all the way I have to press on the poppet and move it around to get it to seal up. I have called Northern Brewer and More Beer and they don’t know what poppet to use. Does anyone know what poppet these kegs take?

Not sure if this is any different than the Morebeer one

You might try adding a bit of keg lube to the seal on the poppet to help it center up on the hole. You can also try putting two o-rings on the dip tube to make it a tighter fit.

I purchased some new poppets from some APC kegs I have and the descriptions on this site were easy to understand and the items I ordered fit correctly and fixed my problem
