Leaking Keg

Wed Mar 24, 2010 6:50 pm

I have a corny keg (pin lock) that's leaking from where the rubber top part meets the steel (not a valve or the lid but actually 3 or 4 inches down). Any ideas on how to seal that back up, or is this keg doomed to retirement? Thanks, all!

I think it is doomed.

Save the lid and posts in case you ever need replacements for another keg. I had a keg like that a few years back. My brother-in-law filled it part way with cement and used it for an anchor for his boat.

I've seen some cut the keg for pretty SS heat shields for burners and drip shields for pumps.
