Adding Kegs to System the Cheap way

I bought a kegging system in December. It has 2 kegs, a 2-way distributor for the gas, etc. I would like to add more kegs which will mean a bigger distributor, more gas line, quick disconnects, etc. I did a quick calculation based on prices from kegconnection.com and came up to about $220 with shipping.

What I am wondering is if I get a keg or 2 with their own beer line and disconnect, can i just move the gas disconnect from one keg to the other depending on which one I want to drink? I'm pretty much carbonating all my beers to the same level right now. From what I understand, once the beer is carbonated, you can take it off the gas and it will stay carbonated assuming there are no leaks.

Does this sound like it will work?

Yep, I do this often when getting new kegs ready. I take gas off of one which is being dispensed, gas up the new keg, switch it back. Sometimes I have an extra keg already being dispensed and I want to switch between two. Eventually I will have enough lines to have them all under gas at the same time but it is all about $$.

I may be a little paranoid, but I'd keep a spray bottle of star san around or some individually wrapped alcohol wipes to sanitize the post that you are switching to. I switch my gas and liquid lines around quite a bit, and I worry about bugs settling on the post and getting pushed in to the beer when I put a QD on it.
