I would like to bottle some belgian beers between 3.5 and 4 vols of co2. I was wondering if anyone had used a beer gun to bottle something this spritzy. I was thinking about using an extra long piece of beverage tubing, maybe using 20 feet rather than the standard 10. Any thoughts? Oh yeah, I will be using duvel bottles so the bombs shouldnt be a prob.

I'm going to be carbing up a Belgian Golden Strong soon and that's almost exactly what I was planning to do. Long hose, chilled bottles, really low psi and Duvel bottles. Good luck.

Let us know how it turns out. I have never gone that high, but have always found that you really got to make sure that your beer is carbonated exactly how you want it (and maybe a bit more) for the bottle filling to end up the way it should.

Bringing this post back.
How did the 20' line work out? Too much foam or did it work OK.
Cheers

Thats right I forgot to report back. It worked out pretty well. I was able to get the beer into the bottle. I used orval bottles and they worked well. I think if I had the beer colder I would have worked even better. It was about 37 and I would have liked it to be 30. Nonetheless, it worked out. Give it a shot you guys!
