swapping out regulator gauges

Have a chance to get my hands on some used cheap regulators. Problem is these were probably used for soda dispensing since the output gauges are 100 lb and higher. The gradations on these gauges make fine tuning beer pressure difficult. I was wondering if a simple swap of gauges is possible, assuming I can find a seller of 60 lb gauges individually.

My hunch is yes, I can easily swap these out but has anyone actually done this?

Sure. I swap them out every time I destroy one by letting a CO2 cylinder fall over (gauge cage or no, one of the gauges seems to get it every time). Replacements are sold by Micromatic, Rapids and a whole host of others. The only tricky bit is to be sure you get replacements with threads which match the regulator. Some have LH and some RH threads and sometimes both: one for the high pressure side and the other for the low.
