I'm flying to a family reunion and I want to bring some of my homebrew. Are you allowed to take it on the plane? I seriously doubt it. I bet I can put it through Fedex or UPS, but I'd probably pay out the nose. Is there a way to ship a full corny keg for less than a hundred dollars?

A guy on another board I post on shipped a keg from MA to IL for $35 via UPS. Apparently, Greyhound will also "ship" items for you, and it's really cheap. You just drop it off at the terminal and pick it up on the other end. Someone said they shipped 4 empty cornies for $13.

+1 on shipping by bus. I haven't shipped beer that way but I have shipped heavy (100+ lb) pieces of radio gear that way. Much cheaper than UPS. You just need to be sure to give them a local (destination) phone number to call when the thing gets there so someone can pick it up right away.

Does the bus thing work cross country? Say from Cali to Nashville?

A company I used to work for would same-day ship payroll checks from the main office to a branch office 100 miles away using Greyhound.

Damn man that is awesome advice. I would have never, never thought of that.
