So I brewed a Sanctification clone back on January 1st. I bottled all five gallons in 22oz bottles. The beer is really starting to some into it's own and I wanted to enter it into a competition to get some feedback. Is there any way to go from a bomber to a 12oz bottle?

if you check out the competition brewing episode of brew strong (i think, or maybe the session with JZ as guest) the pope says if you get your new bottle and your current bottle both down to the same temperature (as cold as you can get them without freezing) and purge the receiving bottle with CO2, pour from one to the other quietly but get some foam at the end so you can cap on foam, and you should be OK.

somebody correct me if i'm missing something. i've never done this.

Wait until the last possible date before entries are due to do the transfer. This way oxidation won't be much of a problem. Get both bottles as close to freezing as possible without it getting slushy. Put a piece of tubing on a funnel that will reach the bottom of the bottle. This will allow you to fill from the bottom, minimizing outgassing and oxidation. Don't do this for bottles that will sit around for an extended length of time.
