Serving Temperature

Wed Aug 05, 2009 5:11 am

Got the freezer and temp control, yeah!
Now, what temp to set at for proper serving temp?

Searches give me lots of different answers.
Some non-beer geek sites say the magic number is 38F. That seems way too cold and is probably for the piss beer drinkers out there.

So here's a little poll.

I don't know how I ended up at 42° but I did and I like it.

Depending on the style of beer I have found that most serve best between 45-48 degrees. This gives you the chance to experience the different flavors of the beer as it slowly warms up in your hand. Unless of course you are a rager and want to schwill the beers down then 40-42 is the way to go!

Same here. I tried 42° and liked it so I didn't bother trying anything else.

Well.. I like my Busch as cold as I can get it

That's why I keep it in the refidgeomatic machine rather than in the pond

Is that similar to free-range cattle? :asshat:

I like mine at about 39. It gets so damned hot here that you're really at 42-44 pretty quickly, anyway.
