dripping bottling bucket

I bottled my 3rd brew yesterday, a B3 bitter. I've got the procedure down now, but I'm still having trouble keeping the bottling bucket from dripping at the spigot. I tried readjusting both the interior and exterior parts of it, but couldn't find the sweet spot. I only lost a few ounces all told (ie drank them flat straight from the drip tray), but it makes a friggin' mess the whole time I'm bottling. Any suggestions on how to keep the bucket from dripping?

That is odd. To make a good seal, I take the spigot apart, including the valve that goes in the main part of the spigot and give them a good soak in Star San.
Then I reassemble, I put the rubber gasket on the outside portion of the bucket and turn until it is snug, but not too tight.
Sometimes if it is too tight you will lose the seal and you will get drippage.
I hope this helps.
Cheers.

I sanitized all portions of the spigot and then reassembled (spigot and one o-ring outside, other o-ring and nut inside) and made sure not to overtighten so as not to compress the o-ring too much. While I had the bucket filled with sanitizing solution I tried adjusting it to find a position that would not leak, but couldn't get it. I wonder if I needed to adjust the position of the spigot itself in the opening. Maybe moving it up or down, left or right would have helped.
