Hoping you can answer a question. I cleaned a keg recently using PBW. I pushed the solution of PBW through the keg with CO2 and stored the empty keg under pressure for a later date. I put beer into it and then realized afterward I may have forgotten to rinse after the the PBW cleaning.

Could trace amounts of PBW solution that would remain after a wash with NO rinse be harmful?

I am unsure if I rinsed since it was a few days after cleaning and not sure if I should dump the beer or not worry about the small amount of PBW that may have remained.

Did you sanitize your keg prior? If you did, the acidic star san might have neutrilized the basic PBW

I did not sanatize, only cleaned with PBW.

I think it's a dumper. You should confirm with 5-star to be sure.

I don't think it would be harmfull, but it wouldn't surprise me if it tasted terrible.

There is, of course, only one way to find out, you know?

i would say find someone who can put it through an "alcohol recovery" program

Why dump before you taste? You already did the hard work. Just sit it out and see what happens, although not sanitizing doesn't make me very optimistic.

When using P.B.W. in food processing areas the equipment that has been cleaned must be rinsed with potable water. Just prior to use, sanitize the equipment in
accordance with public health standards.

SAFETY
DANGER: Can be harmful if swallowed. Can cause eye irritation. Contains sodium metasilicate and sodium carbonate.

FIRST AID: For contact with skin and eyes, flush thoroughly with cool running water. For eyes, flush for at least 15 minutes and get medical attention. If swallowed, do not induce vomiting. Drink large amounts of milk or water. Call a physician.
