CO2 Steel Tank

I can get a 15# steel co2 tank. My fridge is outside in a tool shed with no AC. Our temps get to be close to 100* during the summer (inside the shed could be higher).

My understanding is that steel tanks can not be stored in the fridge. Is that correct?

Would the tank be ok outside the fridge with the temps we get?

Should I just get an aluminum tank?

The only problem with the tank in the fridge to my knowledge, is that it will rust. But it will do fine outside as well.

I used to have a steel tank in the fridge. It was painted pretty well with some epoxy-like paint. It never rusted.
