Was This a Deal or a Steal?

Thu Apr 09, 2009 3:42 pm

I just snagged off of Craigslist 6 corny kegs, a 5# CO2 bottle, regulator (w/splitter), hoses, disconnects and two cobra taps for $175.

That's a good deal! A steal would be under a hundred.

Mike, being a douche and all, didn't mention that 2 of the kegs were full of beer.

Going to have to sample some tomorrow to determine the value of that little factoid.

One is labeled "Michigan" and another "OK San," meaning one is filled with crap and the other sanitizer. I wouldn't hold my breath on any "good" beer coming out of those <kidding btw>.

One keg is full of an APA and the other has an Arrogant Bastard clone in it. The guy offered to dump them out so I'd have 6 empty kegs. I said. "No, that's ok. I'll take care of those two. Thanks."

HA. Yeah, that's rich...someone who takes the time to make the beers thinks that you would want them to dump it out. Clearly they don't deserve the gear anymore; good snag.

I'd say great deal!
getting kegs for $30 each is a fair price - the best I've ever paid is $15.
The regulator is an easy $50 , same with the CO2 bottle

good score.
