Highly Carbonated Keg

OK, I'm brewing a Duvel Clone (Jamil's actually).

I've never carbonated something to the suggested 4.5 volumes of CO2. It's been about a week, and still is not anywhere near what a Duvel would be.

This mayy be a stupid question, but am I right in assuming it will take more time to carbonate up to that high of a volume? What sort of time expectation can I have if I just let it sit at the suggested PSI for the fridge temp I am using?

My regular brews only take a week or so to get to the right level.

At 38 degrees 4.5 volumes of co2 will require 30psi. It takes about a week at 10psi to get 2 volumes of co2, it will obviously take longer to get to 4.5 and a higher psi. What is your regulator set at? What temperature is it sitting at? You need to make sure your connections are solid and your hoses are clamped. As your pressure increases so does the likely hood of a leak.
