Star San Flush

I had an almost full keg of star-san that I pushed to another keg. All but a little star san was pushed out. Both kegs were on the floor. Did not think of it at the time, but do I need to elevate the keg I'm trying to purge to get the last of the liquid out?

Elevating won't change anything. The dip tube is roughly in the center of the bottom, so any left over water won't pool up or anything that will allow you to get more out. Just dump the extra starsan water out, and re-purge with CO2 before siphoning into the keg. It'll be fine. RDWHAHB

That's what I did - dumped it out real fast and noticed a heavy haze of CO2 inside the keg. Capped the keg off again, pressurized again and pulled the pressure relief valve a few times and then removed the cap and started to siphon right away. Will attach some sort of rigid pipe to my siphon hose next time - it was hard to get the hose all the way down to the bottom and heard a little splashing for the first 5 seconds or so and I know that is not a good thing. My hose was long enough, but was cut freshly from the coil, so still a little loopy and curled around the sides of the keg instead of dropping all the to the bottom.

Working on building the collar for the kegerator today and will be able to continue to work and listen to the session at the same time now that I have internet hardwired (wireless gave crappy audio quality before) to the brew area.

Prost!

I don't think you need to worry that much about splashing especially after you have purged with CO2. I sometimes remembered to purge and sometimes didn't and i never noticed any oxidation flavors.

Opening up the keg and pouring out the last bit of Starsan defeats the purpose of the the process that Danny told you. When you poured out the starsan, you probably poured out some of the CO2 - which was displaced by air. The tiny puddle of starsan (1-2 oz?) should not affect anthing when it gets diluted in your beer. If you are really freaked out by it, then you can try to straighten out your dip tube a little - so even less is left behind.
