Shipping Kegs

Wed Oct 01, 2008 7:36 pm

Hey,

Just wondering if any of you guys have shipped kegs, and what you shipped them in? I am making the switch to ball lock, and will have 4 kegs to get rid of which I will be listing on ebay.

I was thinking, either I need to find some suitable boxes, or possibly just wrap them in packing paper?

What have you guys done?

Thanks,

Sean.

You HAVE to put them in a box. Otherwise your customer is going to be real pissed at you when then receive the dented worthless keg. The best thing to do would be to put them in a box within a box, with some packing material between. I have received kegs that were in just one box. It's a crapshoot then. If you completely surround them with newspaper or packing peanuts - chances are they will do fine.

I recently purchased 4 reconditioned kegs from B3 in a single box with losta bubble wrap.

They are having troubles with their regulator supplier at the moment, but it has given me time to make some design modifications. Damn the person that posted that McMaster's link for the replacement o-rings. I am finding many other parts there as well too.
