Re: Regulator and tank in the freezer

Interesting, so this may be a dumb question but what are they actually saying in the end:

So, you set to 12 and after 4 hours is gone up to 14/15.

So after this 4 hours - whats the ACTUAL pressure then ? 12 or 14/15 ?

I presume they mean it was actually 14/15 when set to 12, and its still 14/15 after the 4 hours ? so the pressure hasnt actually changed during these four hours but you have to wait a while before being sure of the real pressure.

They are saying that there can be some creep in the actual pressure over time. It still reads the actual pressure, in this case 14-15. With the parts of the regulator cold it may take some time for parts to equalize and give an accurate final reading. I think the diaphragm of the regulator is rubber so that could explain it. But I have not seen this actually happen. If I change the setting and come back later I have not noticed any difference. I keep my tank and regulators inside my freezer.
