My thoughts on this were I'm going to be buying a proper kegging setup anyway. Why spend money on equipment I have plans to replace on the date of purchase. I'd just save that money and put it towards the kegerator fund.

Thanks for all the input... I am going to go ahead and get the tap a draft system... Right now I don't have the space for a full sized kegging system and don't know when I will...

You could get the 2.5 gallon set-up. Williams and NB market them as fitting into a full size fridge. The components will carry over to a full size system also.
