I thought my 5 would be fine for a while, but they're all full so I've got 4 more on the way. Problem is hiding them from my wife :D

If you want to brew high gravity beers or lagers then you need a bunch of kegs. I might run through a keg with simple 1050 or so ales 3 or 4 times in the time it takes to do a lager or a high gravity Christmas Ale or American Stout right. I also do cider, and those can take a year or more depending on the type and what you are going for. If someone was getting into meads in kegs then I don't even want to think about how many they may need.

Started keging 6 months ago. Now own 6 with 4 in the cooler. I definitely have a problem.

15 5 gal... just got 8 more in. Wife thinks that's enough, not too sure about that though :). Only 3 are in use.

i think i have 24. i brew with 2 other guys and if we're all brewing seperately at a respectable clip those 24 get filled up fast. then we start building up stuff in primary in the carboys... we have 18 of them.
