Got back from the store. My guy told me to use these 3 parts in order to split my gas into the 2 kegs I will have. Said it works pretty good and does not let any beer into my bottle.

But when I got home, I remembered that the piece that he wants me to take off of my regulator has this little valve on it...

So basically, those 3 parts would replace the piece with the valve on it.

But don't I need the valve for security or something???
And if this is a check valve already, wouldn't this help prevent beer from going into my bottle?

unable to edit my other post...
I just figured out why I might need this...not only to make sure my beer does not get into the co2 bottle, but since I'm using two, it's to make sure that my beer does not mix into the other one if it gets up in the tubing right?

short bus is headed my way.

But I'm still wondering about that valve? OK to take it off?

It looks like you can just unthread the nipple thats on the valve part, just take that little thing off and screw in the splitter. maybe?

It's hard to tell from the pictures but the brass nipple/valve on your regulator nor the Y splitter/nipples (I said nipples twice) do not look like they have check valves. Here is some info/pictures on check valves:

you said nipples...

Thansk for the link. Buddy at the homebrew store said that if the peice I had on the ragulator already had a check valve on it, that I could just return the 3 pieces I purchased. Supposedly what bought from him last night has bearings in the them that would stop the flow coming back up. Can I actually SEE them inside? I don't see anything.

took it apart. The valve that was on was not a check valve. The two ''leg'' pieces are in fact Thomas check valves. So my regulator went from this

to this

Was taking off the piece with the shutoff valve going to be a major problem?

And how tight should I screw these guys on? I don't want to force anything.

That should work fine. The valves are nice to have but not absolutly necessary.

Tighten until they don't leak but not too tight that you strip the brass. The teflon tape helps. Spray some Star San or soap water around all the fittings when the gas is turned on and look for leaks. If you do have a leak your gas will be gone in a week or two.

the only thing i would add is valves to each one. but if you have them hooked to the gas connectors for the kegs, you should be ok.

edit: by gas connector i meant the grey QD. couldn't rememebr what it was called :)
