Help with Keg ID

Wed Nov 10, 2010 7:45 am

I found this old keg, and would like to find seals for it. On the side very faintly is stamped

Coca-Cola
A3272
A-P-C Waukesha Wis
20 - 2.38 - 56
2.38 US gallons

On lid
292

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

that sure looks like a gas cap to me. You sure someone didn't use it as a gas tank for a buggy or something?

That's looks tits, man! Good luck finding seals. I bet you can come close by eye, and dial it in with trial and error.

I've never seen one that looks anything like that. If it still has the old seals on it you could go to McMaster Carr or some similar outfit or find a company specializing in O-rings and probably find something that fits.

You could also try and email McMcaster Carr, and see if you can mail them the o rings that came with the keg and see if they have an exact match. I bet they do.

It would def. be worth it for that size keg.

It does still have the seals, but I don't want to take them out because every time I do they shred a little and right now it is still holding air.
Anyone know of a place near Seattle or a chain store that I could take it to?
It's a great size, really sturdy, and easy to clean.
I called the company and the guy I talked to said they stopped making them over 30 years ago and it still airs up!
