Broken Neck

Just learned the hard way that you can not use a standard Emily Capper on Jolly Pumpkin, Belgian style bottles, even though the cap fits!

Do I get my man card taken away if I never noticed the poster until someone else mentioned it?

I hope not. I didn't spot it right away either. That's because I broke the neck off a longneck bottle this weekend. Yeah. That's the ticket.

I didn't break the bottle trying this same thing, I broke my capper. I think the neck or part where the capper grabs on is too wide. These bottles would still work great with a floor or table mounted capper though.

That was my thoughts too. Although I only bottle for comps and friends so I don't know if I want to purchase an expensive capper knowing that it will never get used.
