Am I missing a washer?

Mon Mar 10, 2008 9:13 pm

Just got my kegging kit from B3, and had the tank filled at a welding shop. I was going to attach the regulator to the tank when I noticed that I did not get a nylon washer to put between the tank and regulator. The regulator is new an appears to have some sort of integral washer.. Is it OK as is, or should I find a washer for it?

After your post, Push, I emailed B3 about the missing washer. Within 2 hours the washer(s) were shipped to me. I can not say enough about the quality of the folks at B3! PROST! And thank you also Push for helping me out.

Hi Bennington,

I'm glad it's worked out for you, but what I meant was the local place that FILLS my tank gives me those washers not the HB shop that I bought the tank from. Still, B3 is awesome!

Some of the newer style regulators use an integral o-ring style seal. If you have one of those, you don't need the fiber washer. However, despite what they tell you, you will want to replace the oring when you have your tank refilled.
