Re: Help with Keg ID

I've had some email contact with APC (Alloy Products Corp) asking about thread size/pitch on some pin lock kegs I have and I got a less than satisfactory "I'd have to see the keg to be able to give you an answer" response.

I'm doubting you'll do much better. Seems to me you could measure them and then compare to ones on McMaster Carr?

Maybe buy a bunch that are close and see which ones work?

They don't have any info on it. I just happened to get the guy that had been there for years so he knew of them.

Try Larry' brewing in Kent. You could try Tacoma Screw or Fastenal too. The McClendon's in Renton has a ton of stuff too. I do recommend once you figure out the sizes, order a bunch off McMaster Carr. They end up being $0.02 each.

I know this is an old post but I was curious if you ever found o-rings to this keg. I have one also and due to the lack of o-ring in the top, I am unsure how where the seal would go. Could you post a pic or two of how it opens with the seal intact.

This link has a great explanation with diagrams on how the seals go.

Yeah if he's talking to you, call him back and get the info.

I appreciate the link but the keg in question is a little bit different as the top screws on.
