ball lock - gas in

Sat May 07, 2011 11:37 am

I am assembling my keezer today ( finally ) and found that I ordered 1/4" beverage out ball locks and 1/4" gas in ball locks. I said to my self, "uh oh"... the gas line in is 5/16". So I searched morebeer where I bought them and I couldn't find 5/16" or 3/8" gas in ball locks. Is everyone using 1/4" for gas in and squeezing the heck out of the tube with clamps?

Thanks in advance!

I use 1/4" gas line. The braid reinforced stuff is pretty cheap at the big box hardware stores.

I just used beer line(3/16") for my gas ball locks and manifold... I heated up some water and let the lines sit in it for a minute or so before pushing them on the barbs. The gas beer line works great for transferring the beer on the cold side because it is more rigid than the cheap thin walled vinyl tubing.
