My apartment is maybe 450 square feet. I did have a kegging system (Sanyo 4912) at one point but sold it and went back to bottling. That was a regrettable decision.

Cool. So it sounds like I should keg. It also seems like the general consensus is that kegging is expensive. Is this just compared to bottling? I realize that the kegerator is a bit much, but other than that...? Is it feasible to find parts off of craiglist and the like?

Next question: I'm thinking I will skip the kegerator and fill bottles from the keg. That way I can cool them in my nice 1 cf fridge. Easy, or hard? I know it's not as good as having a cold draft beer, but when the weather gets warm, it'll be better than nothing. Thoughts?

The setup was about $200 not including kegerator, at my local store using a resealed used keg.
