Re: Grade "B" Kegs

I'm not sure anymore how many used kegs I have. I also have a few new ones... I do have a few that have leaky poppets, I use them for still meads and ciders. As long as there is a blanket of co2 on top, it doesn't really matter if they have a slow leak.

Um, thats why I use them for STILL meads and ciders... they aren't carbonated nor do I keep them under pressure.

most of my used kegs will not seal under with under 20 lbs or so of pressure even with new seals on them. If all i put was 10lbs of pressure the keg would leak air until the cylinder ran out. The high pressure creates a nice seal that will then hold under 20 psi no problem. This is not a huge issue for me because i apply about 30-40 psi for force carbonating. I also am now trying to keep lids that i know work with a certain kegs together to try to maintain consistent results.
2 and 2 always makes a 5
