PS - gas in tube fulfills no purpose that I can ascertain ... mine have been shortened as a result and therefore more beer fits in before it is submerged. I also tend to shake carbonate my beer, I cant understand why you would want to wait a week when you could be drinking your beer in 15 minutes - and a pint or so gets drunk in testing before the keg is put on the common gas line - so levels are below the cut off dip tubes before there is a mixing danger.


Wow. I never thought of shortening my gas in tubes. Awesome point. I will do that. Now.

i just rinse the lid with starsan if i overfill.
