keg froze - do I have a problem?

I had a keg full of rootbeer that I made for my kids. The rootbeer never got carbonated so I decided to throw it out. Low and behold the top layer of the rootbeer was frozen so I guess that was why it never got charged. So I filled it with a hard cider and I can't get the stuff to carbonate. Not frozen - I checked (once bitten...). Could I have done some damage to the keg? I have had it on 20 psi for weeks and nothing!

Put some starsan or soapy water in a spray bottle and spray all over the posts, keg lid, tubing.......
if you see bubbles then there's your problem, that's the only reason I could see for not getting carbonation.
You probably would have lost all your co2 if that was the case though.
Also check your gas in and qd, they might be clogged.

If you had leaking anyway, you're cylinder would be empty in a heartbeat. Check that gas is actually flowing into the keg,... does gas flow when you pull on the PRV? a clog or a stoppage is the only thing I can think of. Take apart your post and make sure everything is 100%.

Actually, the ball lock gas in quick disconnect... check that the depression pin didn't break off... that would make sense as well.
