Wanna Build a Beer Gun, Need Advice

Thu Aug 13, 2009 7:56 pm

Hey,

I've been on a gadget building binge the past week or so and I want to build a beer gun, one of the one hand jobs, like the Blichman or Cobra. Anyone attempt a build on one of these? Any advice/ suggestions? Thanks

If you take a close look at a beer gun, you will see that most of it could be easily fabricated at home with parts from the local hardware store. The stainless tubing might be a bit of a problem though.

The hard part, though, would be coming up with the shut off stopper at the lower end of the filler. For that you may just have to buy the part ready made. Bigger LHBS should carry beer gun parts.

I think if you contact Blichmann directly, you can buy any Beergun parts separately, instead of trying to machine them. Then you could pick up the rest at a hardware store.
