Quick Carbonation Sugestions

Fri Sep 04, 2009 7:35 pm

To make a long story short, I bottled a 5 gallon batch of honey wheat for a friend of mine tonight..Now, he wants to enter it in a compition next weekend..Sept 12th. Is ther anything I can do to make sure there is proper carbonation in such a short time? Would putting a sixer in the hot attic speed things up, or would that cause off flavors and piss poor carbonation?
My water tastes like shit, so I flavor it with malt, hops and yeast..Yum!

Depends on how hot the attic is. Too hot will kill the yeast off. 3 days at 80 degrees may be enough. I'd only do that to the bottles you need to submit to the comp.
