Twist-off bottle caps?

Tue Aug 11, 2009 9:36 am

I accidentally bought twist-off bottle caps. Do these work on pry-off bottles? I tried a few on them and they seem to seal fine. It is possible with some effort to turn them, but I found this to be the case with non-twist off caps too. I'd like to bottle today so any quick advice is appreciated!

seems to come to the conclusion that... they should work just fine.

If you are not storing the beer for a long time then go for it! Otherwise I would not use them. Just my 2 cents.

Thanks, I guess I'll go with them then. Saves me a trip to the LHBS.
