I am near Clermont, just west of Orlando.

is Hearts Homebrew still open? I've been curious if they survived after getting into the habit of telling their customers that they were inconveniencing them by coming into the store

Sure, Hearts is still around. And they are still less than helpful with people coming in and asking questions. Unfortunately they are the only game in town. One day someone will take on their business and they will either shape up or ship out.

I worried about that too, but if it breaks, Ill replace it with plywood or formica. It's tempered though and designed to be pretty strong.

You've certainly given me new confidence to push my glass. I was worried that I might be away sometime and the glass would break and the kegs would tip over and the fridge door would open and the beer would spill and the house would fill with fruit flies and fridge would burn out and the house would burn up, etc, etc...

Well, I am about to leave on vacation for 2 weeks. Other than disconnecting all but one tap (to keep the housesitters entertained while their kids play in my pool), I won't do anything. That tempered glass is pretty tough.
