Keg Wrench needed

Tue Feb 17, 2009 8:10 pm

Guys - I just picked up a keg and noticed that the gas plug requires a weird ass spline type wrench to remove it. Does anyone know where I can find such an animal?

Is it a sanke keg? You can remove the spear without one, it's a bit of a pain though.

Here's one at B3,

looks like they're sold out though, as is fermentap.

My guess is it is a 12 point post get a 7/8 wrench or socket that is 12 point. That should be the ticket.

Yeah... It is a 12 point gas post... I figured there's a special wrench for it. I'll tray a socket to see if that works.

That will do it for you. It is a standard 12 point socket. Most are 7/8" though there are some at 9/16".
