I know the screwdriver went in a long way not sure exactlly how far, as I was in kill mode (red mist) the keg was not going to win.
Can check the valve tommorrow if that helps

My roommate and I finally got it out this afternoon. Thank you for everyone's help. We ended up using a long metal pole to depress the valve and then used a screwdriver to engage the safety lever and after a lot of struggle it finally popped out, whereupon we cut the little bugger off. Can't wait to get kegging with these.
