Pressure Question

Fri Oct 17, 2008 5:55 am

I have 2 kegs working off the same line at 10psi. Once dispenses a lot faster then the other and has more head. Once is Brown Ale, the other a Wit. The Brown Ale is the one having the issue. What could cause the Brown Ale to have more head and come out faster. Not a hug issue, just curious.

Are the beer lines exactly the same? If the brown ale line is shorter, there will be less resistance to the flow and will cause the beer to come out faster and foam more. The same thing will happen if that line has a larger inside diameter than the other (e.g., 1/4" vs 3/16").
