Liquid Side Dip Tube

Sun Oct 05, 2008 12:29 pm

Hello everyone.
I am getting ready to take a corny apart. I seem to have a problem when I tighten down the liquid side lug. I get the tube lined up with the depression in the bottom of the keg, but when I tighten down the lug, the tube moves. How do you keep that tube where it needs to be?

Thanks in advance.

Sanitize your other hand and hold it while you tighten slowly at first. You won't be able to stop it with your hand once friction grabs it, so I line it up so it twists into place as you tighten. On other thing is to add some keg lube so that the post slides a little easier.
Finally, if it ends up close, then RDWHAHB (albeit with a few extra B vitamins in it).

I do it just like BDawg. I stick my whole arm in there and hold on below the bend in the tube. As long as your arm is reasonably clean you are fine. You will need to sanitize in there again anyway.

I do this with my puny left arm because my right arm is my beer drinking arm and is too muscular due to thousands of 16 ounce curls. 8)

Yeah, that's it. From drinking beer... You might want to try "drinking beer" with your left hand every once in a while. It's like someone else is drinking it for you.
