I was wondering why I couldn't find this beer in the local store anymore, turns out they've renamed it Brutal IPA or Portland Sate IPA. Whatever, I love this beer. It's not for the faint hearted, but I find it works great with heavily salted and buttered popcorn.
Since there has been talk on one of the BrewStrong episodes about kit brewing this one might be a good choice for a CYBI. Can you take the kit and nail it with just the kit contents and pacman yeast?
If you're brave enough try Zorton's weird ass popcorn with this brew:
-Stick-o-butter (don't fear the butter)
-2 or 3 tablespoons of soy sauce
-Parmesan cheese.
Procedure:
-Melt butter in a pan
-Add soy sauce and cook for 30 seconds or so. Don't burn the butter dammit.
-Add popcorn and shake like hell.
-Pour out popcorn and sprinkle parmesan cheese on top liberally. Now is not the time to puss out about health concerns, ensure each chunk of popcorn has a good coating.
-Drink with a pint of this beer.
