Aeration contamination solution

I'm not sure how real the risk is of contamination when one does aeration, but I was thinking about doing something like this:

A container filled with sanitizer, with an in/out ports for the airhoses. the intake tube goes into the sanitizer, so the air needs to bubble through it before it hits the airstone/wort. Has anyone done something like this? I imagine it would work pretty good, at least better than using just plain air.

What do you guys think?
J.

I say spend $5 and get an inline sanitary filter. Take care of it and it should probably last for a couple of years.

I use a nebulizer air pump that has a built in sanitary filter. The only benefit from a child with asthma. You can also buy sanitary inline air filters for an aquarium pump.
Pure o2 does not require sanitizi. Nothing can live in pure o2.

Bubbling through sanitizer would require very fine bubbles to get closer to being effective, and depending on what you are using, may result in lots of foam. An inline filter would be a better option for you.
