Blending Yeast

I rinsed some WLP001 and planned on using it for my next brew a day later. On brewday I saw that I was short 100 ml of yeast slurry. I needed around 300 ml, but had only 200 ml. Anyway, I tossed in some US-05 to make up the needed yeast cells. Was this a good idea? I didn't have enough US-05 to ferment 14 gallons, so that is why I used the WLP001 slurry.

You will be just fine. They are the same strain although the dry version might not be quite as clean as the liquid, but it still makes a fantastic beer and the minute differences will go unnoticed in most American styles of beer.

Thanks for the replies. My yeast harvesting needs work. I thought I had enough in my mason jar. The next morning I took a look and I was down to 200 ml from the 300 ml I thought I had. I could of brewed a 4% beer, but I had already milled my grains. This is when I should get a proper supply of dry yeast for a back up.

You may have harvested fine, but slurry will settle quite a bit in the cold overnight...
