The more beer site says that that the 090 San Diego super yeast is the equivelant of pac man. That right? Planning on brewing Shakespeae stout.

Everything I've seen says that its not. I think that they are similar in their characteristics but different. I will say that I pitched 1 vial of WLP090 in a 3000ml starter on a stir plate and have a slight krausen in less then 3hrs. The only yeast that I've seen start that fast is Pacman. I would say run with it.

I've used it twice now. I think it is like WLP 001 only faster. It was finished in 4 days!
