In this episode of Can You Brew It, Jamil and Tasty attempt to clone Nogne Porter. Nogne is a Norwegian brewery that is brewing and exporting some fine craft beers. This porter is complex with flavors of both coffee and dried fruit mixing to make a wonderful Porter. Tune in and hear brewer Kjetil Jikiun talk about how they brew the craft beer and then find out if the team was able to homebrew it!
Hey guys first off, love the show getting ready to try the Green Flash West Coast IPA recipe....also want to thank you for all the knowledge on the Brew Strong show. I have nearly 6 pages of notes from the water extravaganza! My question is about Alaskan Amber. I live in NJ and have only had this beer when we visit our friends in LA, (fortunately we flew Alaskan Airlines and they served this on the flight), I really enjoyed the smooth flavors of this beer and would love to brew it at home seeing as Alaskan does not distribute to NJ. My step-father had this beer in Arizona and loved it as well. We got him a basic brewing kit for Christmas because he is interested in brewing and I would love to help him brew a clone of Alaskan Amber....so guys...Can you brew it?

Bottle Conditioningby Walt, July 26, 2010
This was a great recipe, but I have a question about bottle conditioning. I wanted to keep the temp consistent, but with only a small fridge, I could only fit about 30 bottles into it. The balance were left in the basement. Strangely, the ones in the basement retained more of the chocolate flavor than the ones in the fridge. Any ideas on that?
