sankey + cornelius setup?

Thu Nov 29, 2007 9:24 pm

Hi guys...
I've got a couple of batches under my belt and after bottling them I've decided I'm done with it!!! Bottling that is.

I figured kegging would be a lot easier and I already have a single faucet Sanyo kegerator that I bought years ago. Half-way there, right? So... I just purchased a couple of ball lock cornelius kegs.

Here's where I'm having trouble. I want to use my kegerator for the cornelius kegs but I still want to be able to hook up a standard sankey keg every once in a while.

Right now, the beer line coming from the faucet is crimped to a tail piece with a big wing nut coupler that screws into the top of the sankey fitting. I would have to cut this crimped tail piece off in order to connect the faucet beer line to the ball-lock fitting on the corny. But if I do that, I lose the ability to connect a sankey keg.

This is dumb, I know I'm missing something. There has to be some sort of fitting or coupler that would make this work.
What do I need?

Thanks for any help...

Well it is easy you get these to replace the barbed tail piece's. http://www.northernbrewer.com/pics/full ... ce-mfl.jpg
then you need these http://www.northernbrewer.com/pics/full ... l-nuts.jpg
While you are at it I would order the threaded cornny connectors too that way all you have to do is unthread the lines off of one and onto the other

Thanks Henning! I posted at the same time you did. Seems I didn't look as hard as I thought I did.

edit: And yes, I'll make sure to pick up the threaded corny connectors. thanks.
